Dear Fellow Parishioners,
As many of you have heard, we are having a new winter fundraiser this year, The Masquerade Ball. It will
take place on February 18th at the Highlander Event Center located at 90 Alexandria Pike in Fort
Thomas. This will be a more formal event, beginning with a cocktail hour at 6 PM, sit-down dinner at 7,
and dancing from 9-midnight. Anything from cocktail attire to black tie will be appropriate. Ticket prices
will be $175/couple or $90 per person. In addition to the full service meal, wine and beer will be included.
Cash bar will be available for mixed drinks.
We realize the higher ticket price may cause some “sticker shock”, but we are trying something different
this year. Instead of spending money on the split-the-pot raffle, sign-up parties, and silent auction, we are
going with a higher, up-front ticket price. We would like anyone that wants to attend though, to be able to.
If you cannot afford the full cost, please, still send in your form with whatever amount you can afford.
Someone has offered to donate the balance. There will be anonymity with the exception of the one office
person processing the tickets.
Another benefit to this venue is that we will be eliminating most of the working shifts we have had in the
past. Rather than working part of the evening, you can just come and enjoy yourself.
Our parish relies on fundraising to help with the costs of keeping St. Catherine running. We need as
many of our members to participate in some way, whether it be donating an item, being one of the few
workers we will still need, or simply attending the ball. Tickets will be available for purchase on the parish
website using WeShare or with the order form below that can be returned to the church office. Additional
paper forms will be placed on the back of the church pews by the entrance doors. The deadline to
purchase tickets will be Monday, February 13th; we will be unable to sell tickets at the door. Don’t forget
your mask!
Sincerely,
The Major Event Fundraising Committee
